Run to raise money for SHS students
The Stevenson High School Foundation and SHS cross country teams are hosting the inaugural 5K Color Fun(d) Run at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, on the Stevenson campus. The event is a fundraiser for the foundation’s Kids In Need Fund, which provides assistance for school-related expenses to Stevenson students whose families are in financial need.
During the Color Fun(d) Run, participants are splattered with vibrant colors made from food-grade cornstarch that are natural and safe. Participants are encouraged to create teams, but individual entries are allowed. In addition to being pelted with colors during the race, at the end all participants will celebrate with a mass throwing of remaining colors.
The race is not timed. Participants may run, walk, jog, skip, do cartwheels or any other motions to complete the course. The registration fee is $25 per person if registering as an individual, or $20 per person if registering as part of a team. On the day of the run, the registration fee will be $30 per person.
The registration fee includes a cinch bag, race number, color packet and other items. Advance registration ends Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Enjoy games, inflatables, student bands, and more, capped off with fireworks at 9 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Christopher Steele Foundation, which supports brain cancer research.
