NJROTC unit wins 'honors'

Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps Wheeling, comprised of cadets from all six District 214 schools, has again achieved national success as a "Distinguished Unit with Honors," and will be recognized at the annual Awards Ceremony at Wheeling High School on Wednesday, May 12.

NJROTC Wheeling has been awarded "Distinguished Unit" status since the recognition began in 1999. The "Honors" designation not only denotes a unit in the top 10-percent of the nation, but also gives the unit the ability to nominate cadets to the service academies next year.
