Bike ride rescheduled: The Lake in the Hills Wellness Family Bike Ride that was to have taken place on Friday, July 23, was rescheduled to Friday, Aug. 20, due to high temperature and humidity levels. It will take place at Ken Carpenter Park on the corner of Randall and Miller Roads at 6:30 p.m.Live music in Algonquin:Starting in July, music fans will be treated to free, live music at Riverfront Park beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday nights, once the Farmers Market closes for the day. Children 4 to 12 can pick up a passport at any participating organization and get a stamp for each site they visit. Kids who visit five sites by Labor Day receive a certificate of achievement. Those who visit seven sites also will receive a prize, and may be eligible for an additional incentive by returning their passport book to the location where they received it.
