Wheaton sting nets child porn arrest

A Willowbrook man was charged with aggravated possession of child pornography following an Internet sting conducted by Wheaton police, authorities said Monday.

John M. Cichon, 31, was arrested Friday by Westmont police after a warrant was issued by the DuPage County Court, Wheaton Deputy Chief Tom Meloni said in a news release. The DuPage County Sheriff's Department's E-Crimes unit helped in the investigation.

After his arrest, Cichon was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography. According to state law, possession becomes aggravated when the child is less than 13 years old.

Meloni said no additional details were available because of the ongoing investigation.
