Chi-Town Showstoppers perform free concert in Hoffman Estates

The Hoffman Estates Arts Commission and the Hoffman Estates Park District are sponsoring a free concert featuring the Chi-Town Showstoppers at the Village Green in the western part of the village at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 23, as part of the “Summer Sounds on the Green” concert series.

The Chi-Town Showstoppers offer a fresh, new sound and shows comprised of everyone's favorite R&B, rock, funk, popular music and standard songs.

This concert is the second of eight summer shows. The Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green is at 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway, just west of the Sears Centre Arena, off Route 72 in the Prairie Stone Business Park.

People should bring a blanket or a lawn chair, and picnics are welcome, but glass bottles, glasses or glass containers are not allowed for the safety of barefoot patrons.

Levy Food Service will sell food, including pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos and gluten-free snacks.

For the first time, beer, wine and mixed drinks will also be available for purchase.
