Spotlight on Wheeling High’s manufacturing lab

Congressman Brad Schneider visited Wheeling High School’s manufacturing lab on Friday, hosting a discussion with teachers, students, local manufacturers and industry leaders on the current state of manufacturing and how to address the growing lack of skilled workers.

Wheeling High School’s manufacturing lab is the largest of its kind in Illinois and combines traditional textbook learning with hands-on manufacturing experience. The school gets help from 50 local manufacturers to develop the lab’s curriculum.
