Items stolen from five students at Streamwood High School

There's been a rash of thefts from students at Streamwood High School this month. Thieves stole personal items from five students between Dec. 3 and 13 at the high school, 701 W. Schaumburg Road.

On Dec. 3, someone took a cell phone after a female student left it in a classroom between 1:10 and 2 p.m. Also on Dec. 3, a thief took a male student's gray hoodie with an iPod in a pocket off a cart at the cafeteria between 1:10 and 1:20 p.m. Students are required to place all items they are carrying onto the cart before entering the area where they get their food. His hoodie and iPod were missing when he returned.

On Dec. 6, someone stole $10 and a cell phone out of a locker in a boys' gym locker room between 12:15 and 1 p.m. The student was new to the school and was having trouble opening the lock. He gave the combination to another student, who helped him open the locker. The items were missing when the victim returned to the locker.

A thief stole a cell phone from a female student during cheer practice between 3:15 and 5 p.m. Dec. 9. The girl left the cell phone on a table or bench in the locker room.

On Dec. 13, someone opened a student's locker in a boys' gym locker room between 7:45 and 8:20 a.m. and stole a wallet valued at $300 and a cell phone out of his backpack.
