Maine West High School art and photography teacher Gregory Regalado won a Golden Apple Award earlier this week. In Madhu Krishnamurthy’s report, math teacher Mike Smith, who nominated Regalado for the award, cited the enthusiasm his colleague generates.
“The students would always come to my class excited if they came from Mr. Regalado’s class,” Smith said. “Everybody knows ‘Regs.’ I would venture to say that he’s impacted every department of the school.”
