Poll Vault: Where did you get your pets?

A story by our Mike Riopell this week on a possible “lemon law” covering animals stoked a mini debate among copy editors at the Daily Herald.

Some said they wouldn’t buy an animal from a pet store. Others argued that unsold dogs and cats might be euthanized, so how is purchasing a pet from a commercial dealer different from saving one from a shelter?

Did you adopt one from the Humane Society or other shelter?

Did you want a specific breed and thus buy it at a pet store?
