Look at the facts, then call lawmakers
The agency that runs Medicare and Medicaid, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMMS) has issued two reports about Obamacare. On the House bill, the report states that Obamacare raises health care costs, causes millions of Americans to lose their current health care coverage, forces millions of Americans to pay fines and still have no health coverage, causes millions of Americans to lose their Medicare Advantage plans, places millions of Americans on welfare, jeopardizes Medicare for seniors, and worsens health care access for the poor. The CMMS report for the Senate version of Obamacare is even worse.
The explosion in Medicare recipients (if Medicare is offered to people between 55 and 65) would exacerbate existing health care access problems for the poor.
Didn't Obama say that the health care debate would be on C-SPAN for everyone to see? Didn't he say there would be transparency in his administration? Obama and the democrats are discussing this very important legislation behind closed doors.
Senator Durbin said he does not know what is in the bill. So how can they vote on something that they do not know what is in it and have not read it? Remember that Obama wanted to pass this in three weeks before the summer recess without any discussion and the president and the congress have exempted themselves from participating in this health care plan.
The politicians think we are too wrapped up in Tiger Woods and the holidays to pay attention to what is going on in Washington. Why else would they choose this time of year to force this legislation on us? I am sick of all the bribery and arm-twisting going on in Washington. It is not too late. We have to let them know how we feel.
Call your senators and representatives and the president every day and say no to this socialized government control of our health care.
