Johnson steps down at Larkin
Larkin High School announced Friday that varsity girls volleyball coach Gail Johnson has resigned from that position.
Johnson coached the Royals for four seasons, taking over for the legendary Mary O'Brien. Johnson is also a physical education teacher at the school as well as boys bowling coach. She will retain those positions, according to an e-mail sent by athletic director John Young.
Larkin was 2-29 this past season.
Johnson could not be reached for comment Friday night.
