GOP hampering economic recovery

While Republicans love to wrap themselves in the American flag, they don't seem to mind endangering our country by squandering countless billions of dollars on subsidies for the hugely profitable oil and gas industry and on the bloated Pentagon, not to mention on obscene tax breaks for the mega-rich.

At the same time, the GOP is hampering our economic recovery by gutting the government spending that is vital for creating jobs in the precarious economic environment brought about by eight years of il-considered and misdirected government spending under former President George W. Bush.
