Library hosting a conversation about Islam
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Lake County will hold its fourth in a series of interactive library events designed to combat negative stereotypes that have arisen about the religion of Islam from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Road, Lincolnshire. The organization plans to hold similar “Library Outreach” events in various communities across Lake County and southeast Wisconsin throughout the year. The event is part of a national public awareness campaign called “Muslims for Peace” designed to educate and better inform its neighbors about the true teachings of Islam.
