Top 2 percent don't deserve tax cuts

The argument for extending the Bush tax cuts for the upper 2 percent is that this small segment of Americans are the most creative, adventurous job-creating engines that ever walked the face of the earth. It is only through their magnificent largesse that we have any jobs even though benefits have been falling, hours have been cut, pension plans have been disappearing, employees have watched careers disappearing down the drain, charities have seen their contributions cut, most of our manufacturing base has been transferred (along with the technology) to other countries.

Since all of you miracle workers have been receiving these tax breaks for the last 10 years just exactly how did the jobless rate get to 9.6 percent? Granted it is not good to have government creating jobs, but since you people have been merrily shedding jobs and hoarding cash, someone has to pick up the slack.

Frankly, the argument for preserving the tax cuts for this minuscule group of citizens appears to be as full of junk as a Thanksgiving turkey.
