Candidate shows poor judgment

I recently received a campaign flyer from Louise Hayes where she made a comparison of the three Republican candidates for the office of Lake County state’s attorney.

In the candidate comparison, I was troubled to note that, for Mike Nerheim, she identified a current case in the Lake County court system and indicated in a negative manner that Mike was defending an accused sex offender. My impression from the flyer was that she feels the accuser should not be defended and that Mike’s professional services were inappropriate.

I think that it is inappropriate for a candidate for such an important office to ignore the premise of “innocent until proven guilty.” I find her judgment in this matter to be unacceptable.
