Introducing Faith Feeds: An Interfaith Response to Food Insecurity

The former All Saints Food Pantry, a rapidly growing pantry in the Northwest suburbs, has changed its name to Faith Feeds, a move that captures the pantry's evolution and reflects its deep partnerships in the local faith community.

Founded in 2011, Faith Feeds has been an emerging presence in the community, offering vital assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Outside of its four partner congregations, the pantry also collaborates with Partners for Our Community, Northwest Community Healthcare and the Greater Chicago Food Depository to feed more than 2,000 families a month.

"At Faith Feeds, we believe that nourishing our neighbors is not only about providing food; it's about fostering a sense of hope and unity," says Michael DeMeyer, Food Drive coordinator for Faith Feeds. "The new name represents our belief in the power of faith and community coming together to make a positive impact and uplift families in need."

Two days a week Faith Feeds operates a pantry at 1585 N. Rand Road, Palatine, where clients can shop for food and household items. Five times a month it takes its goods directly to clients via a mobile food pantry that serves apartment complexes in Arlington Heights, Palatine and Rolling Meadows. Each month, volunteers log over 1,200 hours for the organization.

"We are immensely grateful to our volunteers, supporters and community partners for their continuous dedication to our mission," adds DeMeyer. "Together, we are determined to create a community where no one goes hungry and where compassion, respect, and faith stand at the heart of our efforts."
