Three McHenry men charged in burglary, ATV thefts

Three McHenry men have been charged in connection to several burglaries and thefts, including that of two all-terrain vehicles, according to police.

The McHenry County sheriff’s office was investigating two separate burglaries to a residence on the 2900 block of Oakwood Avenue in McHenry, when it learned two ATVs stolen from the house were being stored in Prairie Grove.

One of the suspects, Dylan C. Boren, 18, was arrested on Oct. 26 on an unrelated charged, and while police were serving the warrant, stolen property from one of the burglaries was found, according to authorities.

As a result of the investigation, Chase D. Chambers, 19, and Boren were connected to the first burglary, which occurred on or about Sept. 26, police said. A third suspect, Matthew J. Moore, 36, was linked to the second burglary on Oct. 1, when the two ATVs were stolen from the same home, according to police.

All three men were charged in the second burglary.

Chambers and Boren were each charged with three counts of burglary, one count of theft over $300 and two counts of theft under $300, according to police.

Moore was charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft over $300, police said.
