Mosque column out of touch

Richard Cohen really missed the mark in his Aug. 4 column, which was in support of the proposed construction of an Islamic Mosque in Manhattan. The reason that a great number of Americans are opposed to its construction is that it is in an area where a great number of citizens were killed and most Americans still honor their memories. Cohen is naive to believe that the group seeking to construct this building is doing it for religious reasons.

In addition, Cohen fills his column up with attacks on Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, etc. Why?

By the way, I shall vote for Newt Gingrich if we are lucky that he would run for president.

Cohen needs to open his eyes up and face reality when it comes to regarding the intentions of people in the world who seek the overthrow of the United States. Both my son and I served in the military and spent time in foreign countries. We know Cohen does not.
