Cardio screening planned:The McHenry County Health Department will offer cardiovascular screenings from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the department's office, 100 N. Virginia St. Crystal Lake. The screening requires a 12-hour fast beforehand and includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, blood pressure and other measures. Appointments are needed and may be made by calling (815) 334-4536. Donated phones should be in general working order and have chargers included. They will be made available for seniors to use to call 911 in the event of an emergency.
