Mark Seigle returns to homebuilding industry with new store

Marking its return to the homebuilding industry, Seigle's Cabinet Center LLC is opening its new showroom Thursday, April 1, at 1331 Davis Road in Elgin. The showroom is the first of three new facilities, with others planned for Wheaton and Yorkville.

Owner Mark Seigle, a longtime Elgin resident and business executive, had been president and an owner of Seigle's Inc. a homebuilding supply company, which was sold in late 2005. The company traced its roots back to the late 1800s. Last year, Seigle bought back the cabinet distribution business from Stock Building Supply, which had bought Seigle's and fallen into bankruptcy.

The Seigle's name is back on its trucks and in front of its Elgin headquarters. Seigle said he is looking forward to a rebound in the housing industry and the opportunity to add new jobs. "A family business is out of the ashes and back in business," Seigle said in a release.
