DuPage celebrates Earth Hour

DuPage County will be participating in the observance of Earth Hour today. The county will turn off all lights on the Wheaton campus at 8:30 p.m.

All street lights, hospital-power lights and other emergency and public safety lighting will remain lit for the hour. Earth Hour is a global initiative of the World Wildlife Fund.

The event is a symbolic gesture to bring attention to pollution and climate change efforts.
