District 129 bands to perform winter concerts

West Aurora Unit District 129 student musicians will perform in four winter concerts Dec. 9-12 at West Aurora High School auditorium, 1201 W. New York St., Aurora. Enter through auditorium door 18. It is free and open to the community. The concerts will feature a mix of traditional band repertoire and some holiday favorites.

On Monday, Dec. 9, the combined middle school bands from Jefferson and Washington will perform at 7:30 p.m. The combined bands from Jewel and Herget will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the West High Red Freshman Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will perform at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, the West High Blue Freshman Band, Symphonic Winds and Wind Symphony will perform at 7 p.m.
