Jaguars sign veteran guard Omameh, release lineman Miller
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran guard Patrick Omameh and released first-year offensive lineman Patrick Miller.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Omameh has played in 30 career games with 25 starts, including 24 at right guard, over three years with San Francisco, Tampa Bay and Chicago.
Originally signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent from Michigan in 2013, Omameh started 16 games for the Buccaneers in 2014. He played in 14 games with nine starts last season in Chicago.
Miller spent time on practice squads in Jacksonville and San Francisco the past two seasons.
