Learn about mega-predators of Illinois at Spring Valley lecture

Cougars, wolves and bears, oh my!

Join Chris Anchor, wildlife biologist with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, as he discusses the return of mega-predators to Northern Illinois at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 4 at the Schaumburg Park District's Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.

Participants will explore the science and fact behind the return of large predators to Illinois.

"Participants will learn about these animals and their lives, and why we probably won't see them around Schaumburg," said Dave Brooks, manager of conservation services at Spring Valley.

The program is for ages 8 and older.
