Wauconda joining gang task force

The Wauconda village board on Tuesday is slated to approve an agreement for the police department to join the Lake County Gang Task Force. The Lake County Board approved the agreement last week. One Wauconda detective will join the regional group, which focuses on gangs, drugs and guns. There's no cost to the village. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at village hall, 101 N. Main St.
