It's still the blame game

R.J. Young of Inverness has commented about the Dems' "resistance strategy" by saying among other things they are "committed to stopping just about anything the the other side advocates" and that "I'm pretty sure if Trump discovered the cure for cancer, the Democrats would deny it and blame it in the Russians" and "grow up and focus on helping Americans live healthier and happier lives." So again, here we are playing the blame game only this time from the GOP perspective. By pointing fingers at the Dems this essentially sees the issue as all one sided. Its them, not us. Really?

First of all, let's think for a minute. Is it just the Democrats? Actually many Republicans, including Senate leaders John McCain and Lindsey Graham, have voiced at the very least strong concern about the agenda and tone this presidency has taken, as have many at Republican town hall meetings, particularly about the health care issue. And these are folks who voted for Donald Trump.

And do you need to be reminded about what happened the previous eight years when President Obama was in office? Do you not know of how the GOP led by Mitch McConnell resisted just about everything he tried to do? Let me remind you of what Speaker Paul Ryan said when the initial health care bill failed. He said we spent the past terms being an opposing party and now we have to learn to be a governing party.

Nether party is right, and, yes, the country suffers while both side bicker, but to be sure it's not just a unilateral issue. As we are so divided I wonder who really benefits from the turmoil our country is in. With so much out there about Russian interference in our election who is the real culprit? Who want us divided the most? I do hope our investigations get to the bottom of this, but first let's stop blaming each other.
