Schaumburg hosts Public Works Open House May 19
The village of Schaumburg is inviting the public to attend its Engineering & Public Works Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at 714 S. Plum Grove Road in Schaumburg. The event is free and open to all ages.
The event allows residents and children to get a behind-the-scenes look at what skills, tools and equipment are required to maintain the village's infrastructure. It will include Touch-A-Truck, equipment displays, informational booths, demonstrations, giveaways, snacks and other activities.
The village is partnering with the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry and asking those attending to bring nonperishable items to donate.
