Two taken to hospital after crash involving motorcycle, vehicles

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles in McHenry Township Saturday evening, police said.

Authorities responded about 7:53 p.m. to Route 120 and Eastview Avenue after an eastbound vehicle veered into westbound lanes of traffic, colliding with a motorcyclist. Another vehicle heading west behind the motorcyclist hit the motorcycle when it was on the ground after the first crash, according to Sergeant Bryan Maculitis of the Lakemoor Police Department.

The motorcyclist and person in the first car involved were taken by paramedics to a hospital, Maculitis said; their conditions are not known. Authorities are investigating the incident.
