Members sought for advisory boards

Vernon Hills is looking to fill vacancies on its zoning board of appeals and police pension boards. The seven-member ZBA advises the village board. It reviews requested variations to zoning and sign ordinances and appeals of decisions by the building commissioner. The ZBA meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays as needed. Applications also are being sought for the police pension fund board. The board meets quarterly, with special meetings as needed. The pension fund board consists of five trustees who administer the fund consistent with the Illinois pension code.
