Rosemont engineering firm to host recycling event Friday

The Burke Group and village of Rosemont will host a community recycle and donation event on Friday morning.

Items will be accepted from 7 to 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the engineering firm, 9575 W. Higgins Road. Donated or recycled items can include linens, blankets, towels, clothing, batteries, furniture, kitchenware, books, pure white Styrofoam, CDs/DVDs, appliances and electronics, but no televisions.

It's the fourth year the Rosemont-based engineering firm is hosting the recycling event. Last year, 67 cubic yards of materials were collected.
