Batavia church to host 'Rockstar Bingo' fundraiser

The Congregational Church of Batavia invites the community to join in "Rockstar Bingo" on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

This fundraiser, combining "Name That Tune" and bingo, features categories of songs from the 1960s, classic rock, country, one-hit wonders and more.

It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bar Evolution, 27 N. River St. in Batavia.

A DJ will play a 30-second segment of a song, and you will identify the title in a column on your card.

You will be downloading the bingo card on your phone, tablet or laptop to play. It's a fun evening, and there are even prizes to win!

There is a suggested $20 donation to play, which will be used to support the church's ministries and outreach efforts.

There will be raffles and prizes during the evening. Food may be purchased from Bar Evolution or Pal Joey's.

Some of the local social justice ministries the church supports include: Administer Justice Legal Aid Center; Association for Individual Development; Aurora Pride Parade; Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry; CASA Kane County; Elderday Center; Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity; Mutual Ground; Northern Illinois Food Bank; Tri-City Health Partnership; and Valley Sheltered Workshop.
