Supplies drive for students at Hawthorn Mall

Hawthorn Mall, routes 60 and 21 in Vernon Hills, is hosting a back to school event to benefit District 73 elementary students from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 30. The event at Carson's Court near You Kids Island will feature a live animal show, face painting, and other activities. Visitors who pack a backpack full of supplies and drop it off at the Barbara's Bookstore table will receive a $15 bookstore gift card.
