Lakemoor switches 911
Lakemoor will switch emergency dispatch centers effective May 1. The village recently approved an agreement with the FoxComm E911, which currently serves Fox Lake, Lake Villa, and Lindenhurst police and the Fox Lake, Lake Villa, and Grayslake fire protection districts. According to FoxComm, the Lakemoor public safety addition expands the abilities for all departments in the scope of interoperability. FoxComm Telecommunicators will be able to directly dispatch officers from Lindenhurst to Lakemoor for matters of pursuits, officer assistance and other emergencies, according to Annette Wolf, 911 center manager. Lakemoor had been served by the Wauconda 911 center, but that center is being closed.
