Glenview accepting grant applications for social service providers

Glenview's Board of Trustees is accepting applications from nonprofit social service providers for limited grant funding.

Village staff members will review applications and make funding recommendations to the Board of Trustees at a future budget meeting.

An agency must meet several criteria during the grant period to be considered eligible.

They include: 501(c)(3) designation; compliance with all state and federal nondiscrimination, religious, political and other laws regarding public funding; the agency must provide social services to Glenview residents and have no contracts with other agencies to provide services described in the application; and the agency will meet all reporting obligations required by the Village of Glenview.

Glenview annually provides limited grants to eligible providers in the village.

The completed application and all required materials must be submitted by Sept. 1, 2020.

Applications and questions about the application process can be directed to Nick Santoro, assistant to the village manager, at nsantoro@glenview.il.us or (847) 904-4338.
