Schaumburg sponsors waste collection June 24

The village of Schaumburg is sponsoring a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 24, to give the public an opportunity to responsibly dispose of harmful hazardous waste products.

The event, which is open to the general public, will be in the east parking lot of Motorola Solutions, 1301 Algonquin Road in Schaumburg.

Long lines are anticipated and participants may be expected to wait, so patience is appreciated.

Only household hazardous waste will be accepted; waste from businesses will not.

Items accepted include aerosol paints and pesticides, antifreeze, gasoline, lawn chemicals and motor oil to oil-based paints, pesticides, pool chemicals, solvents and many others. For a full list of items, visit schaumburg.com.
