What traditional events were adapted for the pandemic and how?
Every event was adapted for the pandemic. Because spectators were not allowed, or at least not inside for most, groups adapted many things for outdoor performances or did them via Zoom.
What were the most significant challenges faced by the Class of 2021 and how did they overcome them?
Maintaining a positive attitude and approach to school. Not having extracurricular activities for a lot of the year. They did eventually get to them in the spring, but kids were sometimes participating in two at the same time.
Principal's reflections on the Class of 2021:
While the Class of 2020 missed some significant milestones at the end of last year, the Class of 2021 missed most of their senior year and many of the traditional activities that seniors look forward to throughout high school. Despite that, the Class of 2021 has remained tremendously positive, academically focused, and did significantly well in sports and activities. This is a testament to the equanimity of the senior class. The Class of 2021 did not quit on the school year. They continued to prepare for the future and what might be.
