Scogna elected to Illinois Health and Hospital Association board

Northwest Community Healthcare CEO Steve Scogna was elected to the Illinois Health and Hospital Association's 2017 board of trustees, the policymaking body for the association, which represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 50 health systems across Illinois.

Scogna, of Naperville, is one of 21 trustees elected by the voting members of the association. His three-year term began Jan. 1.

With offices in Chicago, Naperville, Springfield and Washington D.C., IHA advocates for a sustainable, patient-focused healthcare system that provides high-quality care and promotes healthy communities.

"My election as an IHA trustee is very gratifying and exciting," Scogna says. "I look forward to working cohesively with my peers to steer our hospitals thru the changing healthcare landscape. I hope to bring the perspective of a large independent organization to the table that provides a community focus on access to high-quality care and patient safety."
