Round Lake Heights man killed in Fox Lake motorcycle crash

A 45-year old Round Lake Heights man died Tuesday after a motorcycle crash on Rollins Road in Fox Lake, authorities say.

The village's police and fire departments responded to the report of a crash at 5:09 p.m. on Rollins Road near Elm Avenue. When officials arrived, they found an unconscious man and a responsive 42-year-old woman, Fox Lake Fire Batallion Chief Brent Connelly said. No other vehicles were involved.

The man died at the scene.

Authorities believe the man was driving the motorcycle at the time of the crash and the woman, also from Round Lake Heights, was a passenger. She sustained only minor injuries, according to a news release.

Police declined to release the man's identity until family and friends could be notified.
