Star Wars Gaming Group Runs Food Drive Event

Windy City Squadron is a Chicagoland-based group that specializes in Star Wars tabletop games. This past Saturday, Windy City Squadron Events held a Star Wars Food Drive event. This event was held at Games Plus in Mt. Prospect. Located at 101 W. Prospect Ave in Mt.Prospect. We had 18 people attend and after the dice and fun, we collected over 500 items that were donated to the Mt.Prospect Food Pantry. Though only our first event of this type it is our hope to expand and grow this event to both multiple locations and times throughout the year.

Our goal is to create a casual, fun loving community for people who love gaming within the Star Wars theme - and to benefit the greater community with these events. We are running our next three play/teaching events at The Maywood Public Library. You can find us on Facebook under Windy City Squadron Events. We welcome gamers of all ages and experience levels.
