DuPage sheriff: Missing woman found safe

A 39-year-old woman who had been missing since Sept. 25 has been found safe and returned to her family, DuPage County sheriff's deputies said.

Amy Nelson had disappeared after last being seen at the Four Lakes apartment complex near Lisle. She has family in both Lisle and LaGrange Park.

Authorities had feared for her mental well-being and said she had no means of transportation or financial assistance.
