West Chicago launches planning effort

West Chicago has kicked off the planning process for "West Chicago Forward," a comprehensive planning effort that will address a range of topics including land use and development, housing, economic development, transportation and infrastructure, parks and open space, and community health.

The city's plan commission met with consultants in December to establish a work plan that includes project milestones and a community outreach component. The first outreach activity is an online survey for residents. A similar business survey will be available soon.
