Kids hunt for eggs, visit with the Bunny in Vernon Hills

Lake County residents had plenty of egg hunts to choose from Saturday, including the Hoppin Holiday Hunt in Vernon Hills.

The Vernon Hills Park District's annual egg hunt at the Sullivan Community Center was for children ages 8 and younger. Children visited with the Bunny and had photos taken, enjoyed a magic show and continental breakfast and hunted for eggs filled with prizes.

Other egg hunts in Lake County were held Saturday in Lake Forest, Wauconda, Gurnee, Fox Lake, Lindenhurst and Lake Zurich.

More are planned in other locations in the county during the coming week.
