Spanish court dismisses lawsuit for Camp Nou protest at king

MADRID (AP) - A Spanish court has thrown out a lawsuit for a massive protest by Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao fans against King Felipe VI in last year's Copa del Rey final.

National Court judge Fernado Andreu ruled that the loud jeers at the king and Spain's national anthem at Barcelona's Camp Nou did not constitute a crime.

Barcelona is the most popular team in the northeastern Catalonia region, while Athletic Bilbao is the Basque Country's biggest club.

Both regions harbor secessionist movements. Catalonia's has grown in recent years, with Camp Nou becoming a rallying point for separatists.
