Boys volleyball: 3-2 finish for Libertyville at Glenbrook North

Glenbrook North Invite: Libertyville, Stevenson and Vernon Hills all played in the Glenbrook North tournament over the weekend.

Libertyville went 3-2 overall, with wins over Niles West (25-15, 25-20), Oak Park-River Forest (25-21, 25-13) and Schurz (25-9, 25-14).

Jack Stevens led the way with a total of 42 kills and 31 digs.

Setter Ryan Hierschel had 107 assists.

Stevenson went 1-2 on Saturday, defeating Evanston, 25-19, 25-18.

Grant Maleski had 7 kills in that match while Justin Leonard added 5 kills.

Setter Jeffrey Wang had 11 assists and Peter Drozdzewicz finished with a team-high 8 digs.

Vernon Hills won two of five matches over the weekend, defeating Oak Park-River Forest (25-19, 25-14) and Evanston (25-22, 20-25, 27-25).

Jared Bennett made the all-tournament team after rolling up a total of 67 kills, 23 digs and 5 blocks on Saturday alone.

Setter Jake Fiarito finished with 118 assists.
