Thousands in Chicago protest election

Thousands of people protested through downtown Chicago on Wednesday night, voicing their disdain - in no uncertain terms - with Tuesday's election of Donald Trump to be the 45th president. Police: Lake Zurich man was passed out behind the wheel

Kyle D. Bushschacher, 23 from Lake Zurich, is facing several felony charges after police found him drunk and passed out in the driver's seat of his car Tuesday night in Lincolnshire, surrounded by drugs and drug paraphernalia, authorities said. Bushschacher was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI, one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a narcotic instrument and driving with a revoked license. Driver critically injured in crash near Grayslake

A man is in critical condition after a one-car crash Wednesday morning on Route 120 just east of Almond Road in unincorporated area near Grayslake. The man, who was not identified by authorities, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Full story.

Mount Prospect police search for armed robber

Mount Prospect police released an image Wednesday of a man they say robbed a village convenience store at gunpoint Tuesday morning. The robbery occurred about 8:40 a.m. when the man walked into El Amigo Carniceria, 403 E. Euclid Ave., pointed a handgun at the cashier and demanded money. Full story.
