FBI agent to lead 'Human Trafficking 101' presentation Jan. 7
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. The Mount Prospect Human Services Department has coordinated with the FBI to provide a presentation on "Human Trafficking 101."
The presentation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the third-floor board room at the Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson St.
The presentation will provide a basic understanding of human trafficking and how to identify a trafficking victim.
The presenter, FBI Agent Carrie Landau, will also discuss the psychology behind human trafficking, how traffickers gain, and maintain their control and trends in recruiting.
