Terry Moran Softball Tournament
The Rolling Meadows Park District is proud to host the 23rd Annual Terry Moran Softball Tournament in memory of Terry Moran on Saturday, July 15th.
The tournament will take place at Kimball Hill Park, 2905 Meadows Drive, Rolling Meadows, IL. The event will take place all day.
Teams are open for adults 18 years of age and older, with each team allowed to have up to fifteen people. The registration fee is $175 per team. Teams may register online at rmparks.org. Registration is currently open and closes Tuesday, July 11th.
This event was created to honor Terry Moran, an active member of the Rolling Meadows community until his death in 1995 due to a tragic car accident.
"The Terry Moran Softball Tournament has been bringing families together for years… we are very proud to celebrate Terry's life by playing his favorite sport," says Scott Paddack, Athletics Supervisor for the Rolling Meadows Park District.
Terry graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in 1976. Terry played a vital role on teams that won local, state, and national titles.
As a player on the Meadows softball team, he helped lead the team to an Illinois State Title with an outstanding batting average.
His list of accomplishments is nothing short of impressive including a spot on the All Worlds First Team and First Team ASA Major Nationals All-Star.
Terry was inducted into the Chicago 16" Softball Hall of Fame in 2002.
