Mainstreet Libertyville's Lunch in the Park returns on Fridays
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to downtown Libertyville's Cook Park each Friday, June 23 through August 18, and enjoy live music and food vendors in a casual, relaxing atmosphere.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each week, plan to enjoy lunch in the park from a variety of local eateries and vendors, including Coppolillo's Italian Steakhouse, Magic Crepes, Rosati's Pizza, Singh's Kitchen, Sweet Home Gelato, Three-Legged Brewing and Up in Smoke Creations.
Menu items this year include crepes, chicken lollipop wings, kathi rolls, salads, meatball, sausage and pepper sandwiches, pizza, BBQ, nitro cold brew coffee and tea, gelato and frozen yogurt.
Whether you are meeting friends or simply spending your lunch hour outdoors on a Friday, Lunch in the Park offers an ideal way to spend a summer afternoon with good food and live music. Kicking off the season is Chris's One Man Jam.
Lunch in the Park will run for nine weeks with the following local entertainment:

• July 7: Kevin Spica
• July 14: Pete Brush
• July 21: School of Rock
• July 28: Strat & Taylor
• Aug. 4: Peter Cimbalo and the Gatekeepers
• Aug. 11: Cole Brandt
• Aug. 19: John Barnett
This year's event series will also feature a variety of children's entertainment and activities.
Free, four-hour parking is available in the covered parking garages on Lake Street and on Church Street, or take the train; the Metra station is located in the heart of the downtown Libertyville near the shops and restaurants.
Visit the shops in town before or after lunch or take a stroll through downtown Libertyville, home to more than 30 unique shops and 20 dining experiences.
