Vernon Hills Invite: Lake Zurich went 2-0 in pool play Friday night at the Vernon Hills Invite.

Lake Zurich defeated Vernon Hills 25-21, 25-18 and Wheaton Warrenville South

25-19, 25-13.

Libertyville went 1-1 while Vernon Hills and Warren went 0-2.

Play continues today at Vernon Hills.

Joliet West Invite: Stevenson went 2-0 at the Joliet West Invite, getting wins over Oak Forest 25-12, 25-15 and St. Charles North 27-25, 25-17.

Against Oak Forest, Leo Chen and Grant Maleski each had 4 kills while Haddon Kay had 10 assists and Austin Zhou had 6 digs.

Against St. Charles North, Maleski had 9 kills and Chen had 8 kills.

Will Sorenson had 21 assists and Zhou had 11 digs.
