St. Francis to stage 'A Christams Carol'

More than 75 students in the theater program at Wheaton's St. Francis High School will produce the classic "A Christmas Carol" over the last weekend in November.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in the school's Kuhn Cultural Arts Center at 2130 W. Roosevelt Road.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students and available at the door at the time of each performance.

The show, adapted from Charles Dickens's story of the same name, is the tale of aging businessman Ebenezer Scrooge, who thinks only of himself and his money. But after being visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come, Scrooge changes his ways and becomes a kind, caring and charitable person.

Guests are welcome to arrive 45 minutes early to participate in making ornaments and singing Christmas carols.
